Hello! Nice to meet you here. I have been happily teaching yoga for almost 20 years, and that's probably how you and I met! Here's a little about my background. Once I started teaching in Los Angeles at YogaWorks, I wanted to learn as much as I could to help people thrive physically and spiritually. I focused my trainings in three areas: Physical Therapy, Iyengar yoga, and mindfulness meditation. Indeed, I am a licensed physical therapist, certified yoga therapist (International Association of Yoga Therapists), and certified YogaWorks teacher. I became an Iyengar certified teacher and graduated the Dharma and Yoga Teacher Training at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center. In addition to teaching classes and workshops at YogaWorks in Los Angeles for about 15 years, I also dived into the world of teaching yoga teacher trainings. I have taught dozens of trainings at the 200 and 300 hour levels, including training the trainers, and I am author of the YogaWorks Teacher Training Anatomy Manual. My undergraduate education was at UC Berkeley, and I received my Master’s in Physical Therapy at CSU Northridge, graduating with Honors. My movement studies began long before that at the San Francisco Ballet School. In 2018, my family and I made the big move from Los Angeles to Sebastopol, CA, where my husband, my son, and I live amongst towering redwood trees and along a wildlife corridor with our dog, cats, and chickens. When not working, usually I'm playing pirates and knights with my little boy, and I try to sneak in some time for gardening, cooking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and dancing.
